"Due to an incident that caused damage to our home we had to have five windows replaced. Because the windows could not be replaced with the exact same windows our plantation shutters did not fit the new windows. Our contractor sent out a couple of guys who knew nothing about installing shutters. He then sent me a phone number to call a shutter company the contractor uses to install shutters in new homes. The guy came out and attempted to try to install and immediately saw the framework was slightly to large for the new window frames. His attitude was very offensive and rude. His comments were "you are just going to have to purchase new shutters." He then left. I was devastated. It was then I remembered the sticker inside the shutters with the name of the original installer. The shutters came with the house. I called Hummingbird Shutters literally in tears and spoke with Brian Williams. I explained the situation to him. He was so kind and understanding and made me feel very much assured he was pretty certain the frames could be altered to fit. He came out the next morning at exactly the time he said. He took the measurements and informed me he would need to take them with him to alter. Just a few hours later he called to let me know he would be out the next morning to install the framework and my shutters. I was ecstatic. Again right on time, Mr. Williams arrives with an associate and they had the shutters installed in an hour or less. The cost to alter the framework and install my beloved plantation shutters was so very fair and reasonable.
